Black History Month 2026 at Women on the Rise

After a tumultuous power outage in NDG, we are presenting our Black History Month activities with a number of important modifications.

Ongoing repairs in the Women on the Rise centre

After the power outage, the pipes in our radiators started leaking. Due to ongoing electrical and plumbing repairs, we are working offsite until further notice. The free boutique is closed, and the boutique's opening hours have been replaced by virtual consultation hours on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Our workshops on Tuesdays and Thursdays have been moved offsite. Tuesday activities will be in the hall of St Thomas Church, right next door to our centre. Thursday activities will be at the Walkley Centre.
