Internship Opportunity!

We are so excited to share this internship opportunity that we developed in partnership with Concordia University's SHIFT Centre for Social Transformation:

Women on the Rise recognizes the need for members to explore Black History beyond the confines of a 28-day month and believe Black History must be celebrated and recognized every day of the year- hence this project is called Black History 365 (BH365).

We see great potential to host a series of BH365 events that are interactive and built on the similar pedagogy style of WOR activities- rooted in curiosity, lived experience and peer education. Unlike many other Black History Month activities, participants would not simply consume history via online platforms but will be invited to pull up a chair, join the conversation, and reflect on their own implications to Black realities. With programming open to all women from all backgrounds, ages and walks of life, the BH365 will be an invitation for participants to learn more about the triumphs and contributions of Black women and explore the many ways to still experience Black joy, and hopefully, see themselves with the potential to become trailblazers in their own ways.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss this post further.
