Moms Who Build With AI: EMpowering Women Through Technology

Reflections on the MamaNest AI app launch Event

Women on the Rise had the pleasure and privilege of attending MamaTech's app launch event for MamaNest, designed to help mothers learn how to use artificial intelligence (AI). By bringing together a variety of keynote speakers learning to use AI in their respective fields, the launch event brought attendees into contact with AI and helped them overcome nervousness about the new technology. As keynote speaker Hanaa Al Ramli reflected in her presentation, any new technology can be a boon if used responsibly, and a detriment if used carelessly--but in order to learn how to use the technology responsibly, one first has to overcome the fear of the unknown and engage with it. This is the key inspiration behind MamaTech's motto: "AI isn’t just for techies, it’s for moms, too." By encouraging a new generation of moms who build with AI, MamaTech is ensuring that the women raising the children of today can take the lead in creating a better and safer world of tomorrow.

Mahsa Rezaei, the founder of MamaTech, is adamant that with the right tools and support, motherhood can catalyze career development rather than holding it back. She sees digital technologies as a powerful tool for women to thrive without choosing between career and family, thereby cementing their economic stability and allowing them to use their skills to benefit society as a whole. As Rezaei wisely points out, women's wisdom and caretaking roles put them in a unique position to shape the future of AI to be ethical, responsible, and respectful to all. We look forward to continuing to learn from MamaTech, because all women deserve to have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.
