Reproductive Loss is more common than you think

Infant loss, miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, and infertility makes us feel so alone and misunderstood. But why is that, when so many people go through it? The Coeurage support group is here to tackle the isolation around reproductive loss. Coeurage is a joint effort between the Centre for Reproductive Loss and Women on the Rise to give women a place to express their complex emotions around reproductive struggles. Anyone who has lived through it knows how tough it is to deal with other people's discomfort and well-meaning-yet-unhelpful comments. This is a group that allows participants to spend some time with peers who get it.

If this is relatable to you, first of all, we are so very sorry that you are going through this. Second of all, we invite you to our virtual information session on Tuesday, February 24th. See below for more details.

Virtual Information Session On Feb. 24th

On Tuesday evening, February 24th, at 7 pm, Laura Aguilar will be hosting a virtual information session about the Coeurage group. The Coeurage support group is recruiting for a new cohort of participants, and the information session is the perfect opportunity to speak with the facilitator and ask whatever questions you may have. This is your chance to find out how the group works, what to expect in each session, and the work that Laura does supporting women and families experiencing reproductive loss. If you are wondering whether this applies to you, then just come! You are welcome. This a club nobody would ever ask to be part of, but we are here to make the best of the cards that life has dealt us.

Social workers, healthcare workers, community workers, government representatives, doulas, family members, friends, siblings, and grandparents are also welcome, because we need all hands on deck to make society more understanding and supportive to people affected by reproductive loss. We look forward to seeing you there.
