The importance of acknowledging infant loss

Join us next Tuesday to ensure that women grieving lost pregnancies and babies no longer need to suffer in silence.
Infant and pregnancy loss is an earth-shattering experience that is rarely discussed in the open. Unlike the death of an older adult who has had a chance to experience life and leave others with memories to cherish, the death of an infant is the death of what could have been. This unique pain does not get talked about enough, and families who experience it find themselves travelling through their grief alone while their social circles move on unaware of their grief.
That's where the Little Bean Foundation comes in. Oneisha Lewis started the Little Bean Foundation after losing her precious son Jaden. In creating this organization, she added another star to the constellation of amazing organizations across Quebec that help families to bear the unbearable--going on living without their little one by their side.
With Oneisha's guidance, next Tuesday at Women on the Rise we will create cards to send to women who have lost babies through miscarriage, abortion, still birth, and infant death in the first year of life. In doing so, we honour the little ones who have gone too soon, we lift the veil of mystery and shame away from infant and pregnancy loss, and we show bereaved moms that they are not alone. We hope you'll join us, and we hope you'll be inspired to carry forward the message of support for families who have lost a pregnancy or a baby.
If you or someone you know has lost a baby, reach out! You don't have to go through it alone.
